“Canadian Families’ Preferences and Expectations”

To better understand the preferences and needs of Canadian families with children aged 5-9, Ninichef, conducted a survey to gain valuable insights. The survey involved 150 families from various regions of Canada mostly Ontario and aimed to inform the development of our product and pricing strategy.

 Key insights are:

  • Awareness and Usage: The survey shows that 90% of Canadian families with children aged 5-9 are aware of gamification platforms.
  •  Preferences: About 70% of the respondents prefer using mobile apps for gamification, indicating a strong inclination towards accessible and portable platforms.
  • Frequency of Use: A combined 65% of families use gamification platforms either daily or weekly, highlighting their regular incorporation into children’s routines.
  • Importance in STEM Education: Around 60% of participants believe the use of gamification platforms focused on STEM for their children is very important.
  • Affordability: An overwhelming 85% believe that a price range of $0-$10 per month is reasonable for a premium version of a gamification platform.
  • Effective Approaches: Fun activities are considered the most successful approach when incorporating a gamification platform, as indicated by 75% of the participants.

Based on the survey findings, Ninichef is strategically planning to prioritize family interests in its future developments. The insights from the survey will guide the design and functionality of our platforms, ensuring they align closely with the preferences and needs of our target audience. This customer-centric approach will help in tailoring our offerings to better serve Canadian families, particularly in enhancing the educational experience for children through gamification. 

Due to the overwhelmingly high preference for mobile applications among families, Ninichef is dedicated to developing both mobile and web applications that effectively meet our target audience’s needs. This decision is influenced by the valuable insights we’ve gathered from families, highlighting the necessity of adjusting our pricing to suit their specific interests and financial constraints. As we move forward, we will meticulously evaluate family feedback to devise pricing structures that better align with their expectations.
